Description
A rich and creamy dish featuring tender steak and cheese tortellini, perfect for cozy dinners or entertaining friends.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded
- Chopped parsley, optional
- Red pepper flakes, optional
- Cracked black pepper, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the tortellini and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the steak by seasoning it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Sear the steak in a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and let rest.
- Make the sauce by melting butter in the same skillet, then sautéing the garlic until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, allowing it to simmer.
- Combine the tortellini with the sauce, stirring in parmesan until melted. Slice the rested steak and layer on top. Garnish as desired.
Notes
For a lighter dish, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Leftovers can last in the refrigerator for three days.
