Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumbly mixture over the cranberry sauce.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.
