Delightful shortbread cookies featuring tart cranberries and bright orange zest, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  4. Fold in the chopped cranberries, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  5. Divide the dough into two portions and shape each into a log, approximately 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  8. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving or storing.
