- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry, then cut it into 3-inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and use a fork to seal the edges tightly.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastries for a beautiful golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they’re golden brown and puffed.
- Let them cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze unbaked pastries for up to three months.
