A comforting and rich baked chicken recipe enveloped in a creamy Parmesan and garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the seasoned chicken for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until it reaches a golden brown color.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and softened cream cheese. Mix well until smooth. Stir in the grated Parmesan until the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Place the seared chicken in a greased baking dish and pour the creamy sauce over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature hits 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Allow the chicken to cool completely and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to three months.
