- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 2–3 minutes until heated through and thoroughly coated.
Notes
For a lighter version, use a mixture of milk and sour cream instead of heavy cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
