Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 2–3 minutes until heated through and thoroughly coated.

Notes

For a lighter version, use a mixture of milk and sour cream instead of heavy cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
