Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish with sautéed steak bites and garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Sear the Steak: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sear until browned, for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes: Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional minute until the mixture is beautifully fragrant.
- Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta in the creamy steak sauce, cooking for another minute to heat everything through.
- Garnish and Serve: Finish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately for the best taste.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider swapping half of the heavy cream with low-sodium chicken broth.
