  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Non-Vegetarian

Description

A delightful dish combining tender steak with a rich creamy sauce over pasta, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Additional grated parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water.
  2. Season the steak slices generously with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear the steak for about 2–3 minutes on each side until browned to your preference. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the beef broth, scraping any browned bits, and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens. If desired, add crushed red pepper flakes for a kick.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce seems too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until you achieve the desired consistency. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and gently mix to combine.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality steak for better flavor. Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
