Instructions

  1. Slice the bread and arrange it in a greased baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread slices, ensuring they soak well.
  4. Cover the dish and let it refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the dish covered for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the cover, sprinkle brown sugar on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and caramelized.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
