Description
Crispy Breaded Chicken Cutlets are golden, crunchy, and perfect for any occasion, from busy weeknight dinners to festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Flatten the Chicken: Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound each chicken breast to an even thickness—about 1/2 inch.
- Set Up Your Breading Station: In three shallow dishes, combine flour with salt and pepper, beat the eggs in a second dish, and mix breadcrumbs with paprika in the third.
- Bread the Chicken: Dredge each flattened chicken breast in the flour mixture, shake off extra, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, pour in vegetable oil and heat over medium heat until shimmering.
- Fry the Chicken: Carefully add the breaded chicken cutlets to the skillet. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Drain and Serve: Place on paper towels to drain excess oil and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crunch, experiment with panko breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
