  • 1 beaten Egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Chili flakes for a spicy kick (to taste)
  • Cheese (cream cheese or cheddar) for creaminess (to taste)
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley) for brightness (to taste)
  • Chopped vegetables (bell peppers or carrots) for extra crunch (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp, garlic, green onions, ginger, and any optional ingredients like cheese, herbs, and chopped vegetables; season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  2. Lay out the wonton wrappers and place about 1 tablespoon of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper.
  3. Using beaten egg, dampen the edges of the wrapper, fold over to seal, and press to ensure no air pockets remain.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat; fry wontons in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
