- 1 tsp Ginger, grated
- 1 beaten Egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Chili flakes for a spicy kick (to taste)
- Cheese (cream cheese or cheddar) for creaminess (to taste)
- Fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley) for brightness (to taste)
- Chopped vegetables (bell peppers or carrots) for extra crunch (to taste)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine shrimp, garlic, green onions, ginger, and any optional ingredients like cheese, herbs, and chopped vegetables; season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers and place about 1 tablespoon of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Using beaten egg, dampen the edges of the wrapper, fold over to seal, and press to ensure no air pockets remain.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat; fry wontons in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Notes
