Description

A comforting, creamy dish of tender chicken breasts simmered in a dreamy sauce, served over delicate angel hair pasta.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet of Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 8 oz of angel hair pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crock pot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Stir until well-blended and pour it over the chicken.
  3. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  4. About 30 minutes before you’re ready to eat, prepare the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions.
  5. Once the chicken is fully cooked, use two forks to shred it within the creamy sauce. Stir everything together to combine.
  6. Serve the creamy chicken sauce generously over the cooked angel hair pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For an even richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce mixture. If you want a bit of heat, incorporate crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
