A comforting and easy Crock Pot Green Bean Casserole made with fresh green beans, creamy sauce, and crunchy French fried onions.

- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups fresh green beans (trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces)
- 1 cup French fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In the slow cooker, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Add the green beans to the mixture and stir well to ensure they are coated.
- Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the green beans are tender but retain a bit of crunch.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the French fried onions, mixing until the cheese is melted.
- Just before you’re ready to serve, top with the remaining French fried onions for a delightful crunch.
Notes
For a healthier twist, use homemade cream of mushroom soup or a dairy-free milk option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
