Description

A comforting, creamy casserole made with green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and French fried onions, perfect for holidays or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup of French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and chopped onion.
  2. Stir well to incorporate all ingredients and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover and set the slow cooker to low for 4 to 5 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in half of the French fried onions.
  5. Serve hot, topped with the remaining French fried onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté the chopped onion in butter before adding it to the slow cooker. Experiment with seasonings like garlic powder or thyme for an elevated taste.
