  • Total Time: 135 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A comforting and easy green bean casserole made in the Crockpot, perfect for family gatherings and holiday feasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cans cut green beans (14.5 oz each, drained)
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz each)
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 6 ounces French fried onions (divided into two portions)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Stir in the drained green beans until they’re evenly coated in the creamy mixture.
  3. Add half of the French fried onions (about 3 ounces) to the green bean mixture for added flavor and crunch, and mix well.
  4. Spray the inside of the Crockpot with nonstick spray for easy cleanup.
  5. Spread the green bean mixture evenly at the bottom of the Crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on Low for 120-180 minutes or High for 60-90 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the lid and sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top for a crispy, golden finish.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth in place of chicken broth. Mix in shredded cheese for an extra cheesy twist.
