Ingredients

- 4–5 medium potatoes, sliced thin
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Spread half of the chopped onion and minced garlic over the potatoes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
- Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients, creating another layer.
- In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream and milk, then pour the mixture over all the potato layers.
- Dot the top with butter for added richness.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until the potatoes are tender and cooked through.
Notes
Can be paired with roast chicken, grilled steak, or a fresh green salad. Storing leftovers in an airtight container keeps them fresh for up to 3 days.
