Description
Crispy puff pastry filled with creamy cheese and jalapenos, perfect for game day or any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- Dipping sauces (ranch dressing, sriracha mayo, or honey mustard)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and garlic powder until well-blended.
- Roll the pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry to ensure it’s even. Cut it into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Fill and twist: Take a strip, spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture along one side, and twist the strip to enclose it, creating a spiral shape.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Egg wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl, then brush it over each twist for that golden finish.
- Bake: Pop them into the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they’re puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Customize the heat by adjusting the jalapenos or add bacon for extra flavor.
