Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon green onions, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, water, minced garlic, chopped green onions, sesame oil, sugar, and minced ginger until thoroughly combined.
  2. Taste your mixture and adjust the thickness by adding more hoisin sauce if necessary.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
  4. When it’s time to serve, gently heat the mixture in a small saucepan over medium-low heat for 2 to 4 minutes until warmed through.

Notes

Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat gently before serving.
