- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles (to serve)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, sliced bell pepper, chopped onion, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
- Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and stir it in during the last hour of cooking. Consider using pre-cut vegetables for quicker prep.
