  • Total Time: 90 minutes
  • Yield: 1 loaf 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A stunning and aromatic bread with garlic and rosemary, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsps salt
  • 2 1/2 tsps quick yeast (1 package)
  • 1 1/3 cups warm water
  • 2 large rosemary sprigs, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, diced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and quick yeast.
  2. Gradually add warm water (not boiling!) and mix until your dough is sticky and shaggy.
  3. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes.
  4. Prepare your work surface with a piece of parchment paper and dust it with flour.
  5. Transfer the dough to the parchment and shape it into a ball by folding the edges over.
  6. Place the smooth side up, cover, and let it rest for another 20 minutes while preheating your Dutch oven to 450°F.
  7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven, transfer your dough in the parchment, and score the top with a knife.
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Feel free to swap rosemary with other herbs; use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
