Description

Delicious chicken-filled buns with a spicy kick and cheesy goodness, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 1 batch of bread dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat your frying oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, hot sauce, mayonnaise, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the bread dough and cut it into squares (about 4 inches).
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture into the center of each dough square.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal them securely.
  6. If frying, place the buns in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. If baking, place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spice level by using more or less hot sauce. Pair with ranch or blue cheese for dipping.
