  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: None

Description

A comforting and indulgent meal that combines tender beef with rich gravy and cooked egg noodles, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the egg noodles according to package directions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onions. Drain the excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add Flavor: Once the beef is browned, stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Thicken the Gravy: Sprinkle the flour into the skillet, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring until smooth. Allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until the gravy reaches your desired thickness. If needed, add a splash more broth to adjust the consistency.
  5. Combine with Noodles: Add your cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with the beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Dish out the beef and noodles while it’s warm and enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color. Pairs well with green beans or a side salad.
