  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian (if bacon is omitted)

Description

A quick and delightful salad featuring vibrant green peas with cheese and bacon, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 13 oz. – 16 oz. Frozen Peas (thawed and drained)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup Purple/Red Onion (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Real Bacon Bits

Instructions

  1. Thaw the peas: Place your frozen peas in a colander and run cold water over them until they are thawed. Let them drain completely.
  2. Prepare the dressing: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Mix it up: Add the thawed peas, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, and bacon bits to the dressing. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad until you’re ready to serve it to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

For a lighter alternative, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and omit bacon for a vegetarian option.
