A quick and nutritious pasta dish packed with broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (any type)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. About three minutes before the pasta is done, toss in the broccoli florets. Drain both and set aside.
- Sauté garlic in olive oil over medium heat with red pepper flakes, if using, for about a minute until fragrant.
- Combine the cooked pasta and broccoli into the skillet. Toss together, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve plated warm with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
Customize by adding other vegetables or protein. Can easily be made dairy-free.
