Easy Healthy Broccoli Pasta

Description

A quick and nutritious pasta dish packed with broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (any type)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. About three minutes before the pasta is done, toss in the broccoli florets. Drain both and set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil over medium heat with red pepper flakes, if using, for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Combine the cooked pasta and broccoli into the skillet. Toss together, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve plated warm with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

Customize by adding other vegetables or protein. Can easily be made dairy-free.
