Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (907 grams) boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 large lemon, juiced (about 2 tablespoons or 30 milliliters)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (25 grams) grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken thighs and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them into a sealable plastic container.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, oregano, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese until well combined.
  4. Pour three-quarters of the marinade over the chicken, seal the container, and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  5. Place the marinated chicken thighs on a prepared baking sheet or air fryer basket. Bake for about 17–20 minutes or air fry for around 12 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Drizzle any reserved marinade over the cooked chicken before serving.

Notes

For a fluffier, crispier chicken, pat dry thoroughly and marinate longer. Feel free to experiment with different herbs and spices.
