- 1 Bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 Onion (finely chopped)
- 1 cup Pizza sauce (low-carb options if needed)
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, and garlic powder)
- Optional toppings: pepperoni, olives, mushrooms
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef or sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped bell peppers and onions to the skillet, cooking until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning, simmer for a few minutes.
- Layer half the meat mixture in a baking dish, followed by half the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with cheese on top for a glorious melt.
- Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
