Easy Monkey Bread

  • Total Time: 65 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Warm, gooey monkey bread coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for any family gathering or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Break the biscuits into small balls, about 3 tablespoons each.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon; stir well to combine.
  3. Generously grease a deep-dish loaf pan or bundt pan with butter (or cooking spray).
  4. Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  5. Add a layer of dough balls to the bottom of the pan and sprinkle 1/8 cup of brown sugar over this layer, reserving the other 1/8 cup for the next layer.
  6. Continue adding another layer of dough balls and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top.
  7. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the top of the dough layers. Sprinkle with any leftover cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes, checking for doneness based on the biscuit type used.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days, or freeze individual pieces for longer storage. Reheat in the oven for best results.
