Description
Warm, gooey monkey bread coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for any family gathering or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans of biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 cup ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Break the biscuits into small balls, about 3 tablespoons each.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon; stir well to combine.
- Generously grease a deep-dish loaf pan or bundt pan with butter (or cooking spray).
- Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Add a layer of dough balls to the bottom of the pan and sprinkle 1/8 cup of brown sugar over this layer, reserving the other 1/8 cup for the next layer.
- Continue adding another layer of dough balls and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top.
- Melt the butter and drizzle it over the top of the dough layers. Sprinkle with any leftover cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes, checking for doneness based on the biscuit type used.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days, or freeze individual pieces for longer storage. Reheat in the oven for best results.
