- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish for the crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and then add the corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and pour the mixture over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream; they also pair well with coffee.
