Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper on all sides.
- In the slow cooker, combine the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
- Add the seasoned beef roast, ensuring it’s fully submerged in the liquid.
- Toss in the chopped carrots and celery, distributing them evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
- If using, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the frozen peas to warm through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
