			- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 1 1/2 cups white sugar
 - 1 egg
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 3/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
 - In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
 - Cream the softened butter and white sugar in another bowl until it’s smooth.
 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, blending well.
 - Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and then roll them in sugar before placing them on ungreased cookie sheets.
 - Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
 - Let them cool on wire racks, if you can resist!
 
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes if it’s too sticky. You can substitute butter with coconut oil or vegan butter for a dairy-free option.
