Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
- Pour in the warm water, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours, or until it bubbles and doubles in size.
- Lightly flour a work surface and turn the dough out onto it. Gently shape it into a ball.
- Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper, covering it with a towel, and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat.
- When preheated, carefully remove the Dutch oven, and lower the dough (with parchment) into it. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Store leftover bread at room temperature in a breadbox or wrapped in a clean kitchen towel for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze sliced bread wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and foil.
