Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add buttermilk, stirring gently until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
- Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut into biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
