- 4 Chicken thighs
- 4 Chicken legs
- 1 cup Apple cider
- 2 Apple wedges
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp Thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then brown on all sides in the skillet.
- Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and cook until soft.
- Add apple cider and bring to a boil, scraping up any brown bits.
- Place the chicken back in the skillet, add thyme, and cover.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
- While the chicken is baking, fry the apple wedges in a separate pan until golden.
- Serve the chicken hot with fried apples on top.
