French Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken thighs
  • 4 Chicken legs
  • 1 cup Apple cider
  • 2 Apple wedges
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then brown on all sides in the skillet.
  4. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and cook until soft.
  6. Add apple cider and bring to a boil, scraping up any brown bits.
  7. Place the chicken back in the skillet, add thyme, and cover.
  8. Transfer to the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
  9. While the chicken is baking, fry the apple wedges in a separate pan until golden.
  10. Serve the chicken hot with fried apples on top.
