Description
Warm, gooey French dip sliders filled with roast beef, caramelized onions, and melted Swiss cheese, served with a savory au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
- Roast Beef: Thinly sliced, either store-bought or homemade.
- Slider Buns: Soft and fluffy to hold all the fillings.
- Caramelized Onions: Sweet and savory, essential for flavor.
- Swiss Cheese: Melts beautifully and adds creamy texture.
- Au Jus: For dipping; store-bought or homemade.
- Butter: For brushing over the buns.
- Garlic Powder: Adds aroma and flavor.
- Onion Powder: Enhances the onion taste.
- Salt & Pepper: To taste.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Caramelize the onions by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil and cook the onions until golden brown and sweet, stirring occasionally for about 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the sliders: Lay out the slider buns on a baking sheet. Stack roast beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese on each bun.
- Make the butter mix: In a small bowl, combine melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture generously over the assembled sliders.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve alongside au jus for dipping.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute roast beef with sautéed mushrooms or grilled portobello caps. You can also experiment with different cheeses like provolone or cheddar.
