Description
A fun and colorful treat made by coating fresh grapes in a sweet candy glaze, perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 30 green or red grapes, washed and thoroughly dried
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- White gel food coloring
- Pink gel food coloring
- Blue gel food coloring
Instructions
- Insert toothpicks or small skewers into each grape and set them aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and corn syrup. Stir gently just to combine.
- Heat the mixture over medium-high heat without stirring further until it comes to a boil.
- Allow it to boil for about 10–15 minutes until it reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
- Once it’s ready, remove the saucepan from heat.
- Immediately add the white gel food coloring and stir until well incorporated.
- Carefully add small dots of pink and blue gel colors onto the syrup’s surface. Use a skewer or toothpick to gently swirl the colors through the syrup without fully mixing.
- Dip each grape into the marbled candy syrup, turning gently to coat. Let excess syrup drip off.
- Place the coated grapes on a parchment-lined tray and allow them to cool and harden for about 10–15 minutes.
