- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 1/4 cup of water and broccoli florets, cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
- Reduce heat, add butter to the pan. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until aromatic.
- Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes into the pan, mixing well. Return the chicken and toss in the garlic butter sauce, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Gently fold in the steamed broccoli until coated with the sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
For a heartier meal, serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge.
