Description

Savory garlic butter steak bites that are quick to prepare and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add half of the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook without moving them for about 2 minutes. Flip the steak and cook for another 1-2 minutes until they’re nicely browned. Remove to a plate and repeat with the remaining steak.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and stir in the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Return all the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until the steak bites are completely coated and glossy.
  6. Garnish the steak bites with fresh parsley before serving and enjoy immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the steak cubes or using a splash of Worcestershire sauce in the garlic butter.
