Description
Savory garlic butter steak bites that are quick to prepare and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add half of the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook without moving them for about 2 minutes. Flip the steak and cook for another 1-2 minutes until they’re nicely browned. Remove to a plate and repeat with the remaining steak.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and stir in the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return all the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until the steak bites are completely coated and glossy.
- Garnish the steak bites with fresh parsley before serving and enjoy immediately with your choice of sides.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the steak cubes or using a splash of Worcestershire sauce in the garlic butter.
