  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley), chopped
  • Additional melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add the yogurt and gradually mix in warm water, stirring until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and soft.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into equal portions according to your desired naan size.
  6. Roll each portion into a flat, round shape about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat – no oil needed.
  8. Place the naan onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped herbs. Brush this aromatic mixture over the hot naan.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy with your favorite dishes!
