- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup French fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk, mixing well.
- Add the green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well coated.
- Fold in 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and half of the French fried onions.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, add a pinch of garlic or onion powder to the soup mixture. Avoid overcooking the green beans while blanching to keep them slightly crisp.
