Grilled Cheese Burrito

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Non-Vegetarian

Description

A delicious fusion of grilled cheese and burrito, filled with seasoned beef, creamy cheeses, and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease, stir in the taco seasoning with 1/4 cup of water, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the tortillas briefly on a dry skillet or in the microwave.
  3. Lay each tortilla flat and layer with cooked rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, chipotle sauce, sour cream, and both shredded cheeses.
  4. In a clean skillet, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese, place the burrito seam-side down, and cook until the cheese melts and creates a crispy crust. Flip and repeat with the other side, cooking for 3-4 minutes.

Notes

For extra crispiness, brush the outside with butter before grilling. Feel free to customize with different meats or veggies.
