Description

A cozy one-pot meal combining seasoned ground beef with fluffy dumplings, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the beef broth, carrots, and peas. Bring to a boil.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter to form a dough.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the boiling beef mixture.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your cozy meal!

Notes

For fluffier dumplings, avoid overmixing the dough. Serve with fresh herbs or alongside bread or salad.
