Description

A delightful twist on the classic cheesesteak sandwich featuring seasoned ground beef, caramelized onions, and gooey provolone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Heat a splash of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become caramelized and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Once the beef is fully cooked, lay the provolone cheese slices on top and cover to let it melt.
  5. Meanwhile, toast the hoagie rolls in another skillet or in the oven until golden brown.
  6. Once everything is ready, fill each toasted roll with the beef and cheesy mixture.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the amazing flavors!

Notes

Pair with crispy fries or a light salad. Add sautéed mushrooms or peppers for extra flavor.
