Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey/plant-based substitute)
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it reaches al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once cooked, drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture. Add half of the shredded cheese and mix thoroughly.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm, and garnish with optional chopped parsley or green onions.
