- 1 package Hawaiian rolls
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or oat)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Butter for frying
- Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sugar until well blended.
- Dip each half of the rolls into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak briefly.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a pat of butter to melt and coat the pan.
- Place the soaked rolls in the skillet, cooking until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use day-old Hawaiian rolls for best texture. You can prepare the egg mixture ahead of time and soak the rolls a few hours in advance.
