Description
Delicious and guilt-free churro bites made in an air fryer, perfect for a healthy snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/4 cup sweetener (coconut sugar or erythritol)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Cooking spray or oil for air frying
- Melted coconut oil for coating
- Additional cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, sweetener, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the water and mix until a dough forms.
- Preheat your air fryer to get it ready for the churros.
- Shape the dough into small bites—around the size of a marble works well!
- Spray the air fryer basket with a little cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the churro bites in the basket, ensuring they have space to expand, and cook at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Flip halfway through to ensure they cook evenly and become golden brown.
- Once cooked, immediately coat the churro bites with melted coconut oil and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.
- Serve these delicious bites warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a nut-free option, substitute almond flour with sunflower seed flour. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
