Description

A simple, fun, and healthy snack that kids love, made with apples, nut butter, and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 apples (Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji recommended)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter or nut butter of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples well and dry them.
  2. Slice the apples into thin wedges.
  3. Melt the nut butter slightly in the microwave or on the stove.
  4. Layer the apple slices on a plate.
  5. Drizzle half of the melted nut butter over the apples.
  6. Sprinkle dairy-free chocolate chips evenly over the layer.
  7. Repeat the layering process with the remaining apples, nut butter, and chocolate chips.
  8. Serve immediately while the apples are crisp.

Notes

For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter or pumpkin seed butter. Store leftover apple nachos in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 hours.
