  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter until smooth.
  3. Stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
  5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread brownie batter evenly into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool completely before transferring to a cutting board.
