Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Heat milk and butter together until warm. Stir in the yeast and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Add the yeast mixture and egg; stir to mix.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for about 1 hour, covered.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Roll tightly and cut into heart shapes.
- Arrange on a baking sheet; let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh fruit or coffee. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for longer storage.
