- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (10 oz) can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Incorporate the drained Rotel, shredded sharp cheddar, and shredded mozzarella into the cheese mixture. Fold in the cooked sausage, mixing well.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the dip mixture into a baking dish and spread out evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, garnish with parsley or green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
This dip is best served warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette. It can also be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for up to two months before baking.
