A heartwarming casserole combining ground beef, sliced potatoes, and creamy mushroom soup, topped with cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thinly
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar works great!)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef alongside the chopped onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat after browning.
- Grease your casserole dish and layer it with the sliced potatoes.
- Spread the browned beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by the cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top with a generous layer of shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for about three months.
